Music

Mountain View's music program creates an inviting, explorative, and knowledgeable approach to music pedagogy. Students are invited to explore the depths of their knowledge, and to create new musical pathways through instruments, musical cultures, genres, and discussion of music in our daily lives. We strive to incorporate and expand upon the Colorado Music Standards, and to offer students the chance to take risks, explore new ideas, and to express themselves in a space where all these fantastic attributes are celebrated.

Physical Education

Mountain View’s Physical Education program aims to give students the knowledge, skills, and attitude toward movement needed to live an active lifestyle. After leaving Mountain View, students will be able to capitalize on opportunities to be active wherever they appear and in any form. The top priority of this program is for students to have fun and be successful in all activities so that they may find enjoyment in being active leading to a long, healthy life.

Wellness

Mountain View's wellness program will implement the Colorado Comprehensive Health Standards, while focusing on fostering healthy habits that will improve physical, mental, and social well-being. Students will have many opportunities to explore what healthy habits are and how those habits help us to be successful both at school and throughout their lives. The goal of this wellness program is to provide students with the knowledge around the understanding that healthy minds and healthy bodies create safe, confident, successful, students.
